Release time : 03/21/2025 09:30:02
At the end of 40 weeks of pregnancy, the baby will "fall off". But exactly when it happens is difficult to predict.
The day we wait for our baby to be born is both exciting and nerve-wracking.
Don't worry or worry, be prepared, pay close attention to the signs, and wait patiently for that moment to arrive.
What are the signs before giving birth? What are the signs of giving birth? If you have one or more of the following three signs, you may be giving birth. Go to the hospital in time to wait for delivery! 1. Seeing red: 24-48 hours before production, you may find that mucus mixed with blood will flow out of the vagina. The color of the blood may be tea brown, pink, or bright red. The amount of bleeding is generally less than normal menstruation, which is more sticky. This is seeing red! If you see red, you must go to the hospital in time to wait for labor, because red usually appears within 24 hours before the labor pain occurs, but some people appear red one week before labor or earlier! The redness is mainly due to the dilation of the lower segment of the uterus and the cervix, the separation of nearby membranes from the uterine wall, the rupture and bleeding of capillaries, and the mixing with the mucus in the cervix to form a bloody mucous secretion.
However, if the amount of vaginal bleeding is large and exceeds the amount of menstruation, it should not be a precursor to labor. It may be bleeding in the third trimester caused by placenta previa, placental rapture, etc.! 2. Broken water As the uterus contracts strongly, the pressure in the uterine cavity gradually increases, the uterine orifice expands, and the fetal head continues to fall, which will cause the rupture of the membranes and allow the amniotic fluid to flow out! When amniotic fluid flows out, you can feel hot liquid flowing out of the vagina, and you cannot control the flow of amniotic fluid like urine! Generally, after the water breaks, it is almost time to give birth, so you must rush to the hospital in time! 3. Regular uterine contractions, that is, labor contractions are the most important sign before childbirth. False contractions are sporadic and last for a short period of time, but the labor contractions are felt only in the entire abdomen. The duration is about 30 seconds, and it will occur again after ten minutes! Moreover, as production approaches, the pain time slowly becomes longer and the interval becomes shorter. The pain will cause the uterine orifice to continue to widen! The signs two weeks before giving birth are approaching labor, especially two weeks before labor. Your body will undergo obvious changes. If there are any of the following circumstances, you should pay attention, and labor may be about to happen! 1. The bottom of the uterus drops Two weeks before giving birth, you will find that your abdomen, chest, and stomach feel more relaxed, and your breathing will be smoother than before. That is because the bottom of the uterus drops near labor, and your appetite will generally improve. The amount of meals will increase! 2. The upper abdomen becomes relaxed. This is mainly because the fetus now exposes its head first and descends into the pelvis, and the fundus of the uterus descends, so it will feel much easier in the abdomen, breathe smoothly, and increase appetite! 3. The lower abdomen is pressed and uncomfortable. Because the fetus descends into the pelvis, it will compress your pelvis, bladder, rectum and other tissues. You may feel frequent frequency and urgency, sore waist, sagging lower abdomen, and increased pubic pain! 4. Pseudo-contractions are more severe and close to labor, and uterine contractions are more frequent. However, compared with the pain before real delivery, the current contractions have the following characteristics: long duration, irregular regularity, relatively uniform intensity of contractions, and intermittent time. It is relatively long, generally only a slight pain in the lower abdomen, which will not affect the entire abdomen, and will not cause dilation of the cervical orifice! What to do if there are signs of having a child? 1. What to do if there is only a small amount of faint blood, you can continue to observe at home, but you need to tell your family in time to be ready! If seeing red is accompanied by labor pain or breaking water, then you need to accompany your family to the hospital for delivery in time! 2. What to do if the water breaks? After discovering that you have broken water, you must go to the hospital immediately with your family. When you go to the hospital, you must lie flat immediately to prevent the amniotic fluid from continuing to flow out. If the amniotic fluid breaks badly at home, you may need to call an ambulance! If the amniotic fluid breaks, you cannot delay it, otherwise it will easily lead to hypoxia in the fetus or intrauterine infection! 3. What to do with labor pains If the contractions are irregular and the intervals are relatively long, it may take a few hours to give birth. You can rest at home. If the labor pains slowly increase and the intensity increases, the interval becomes shorter and shorter, Then you need to be hospitalized in time to wait for labor! Labor for the first child often lasts 12 to 14 hours, so it will be better to wait a few hours at home.
Move around slowly and take a break if you need to rest.
The doctor may advise you to stay at home until the contractions are very strong and occur every 5 minutes or so.
Additionally, if the pain becomes severe, it's important to distract your mind. You can practice the Valsalva maneuver in advance to effectively alleviate pre-labor contractions! If you're not familiar with it, try practicing breathing by inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth as if blowing out a candle! For expectant fathers, prepare pillows and toys that can be grasped to help the mother relieve pain and distract from the discomfort! How do you differentiate between genuine labor pains and false contractions? False contractions are irregular and usually have a mild intensity, not intense enough for the intensity of true labor pains. A doctor will need to inspect the vagina and look at the cervix to determine this! False contractions, aside from being irregular, do not decrease in frequency or intensity, and stop after walking or changing positions or resting. True labor pains, on the other hand, are regular and progressively shorter intervals, lasting about 30-70 seconds, increasing in intensity, very painful, and regardless of how much exercise you do, they continue! When should you go to the hospital? If there are signs of labor, when should you go to the hospital? Here's what to do: 1) If water breaks, even if there are no contractions, you should go to the hospital immediately. 2) If you see blood flow instead of bloody mucus.
3. If uterine contractions are stable and intensify, lasting for one minute each time, with contractions occurring every five minutes, it is imperative to seek hospitalization for delivery. 4. If you notice that the fetal movements are very frequent, scant, or virtually nonexistent, it is crucial to seek medical attention immediately.
In case of discomfort, it is advised to seek medical attention immediately. The diagnosis and treatment should be based on face-to-face consultations.
